The full release date of indie game Back 4 Blood has been announced, along with information regarding an open beta.
Back 4 Blood is the spiritual successor to Valve's Left 4 Dead series, developed by Turtle Rock Studios (formerly called Valve South), which is the same studio behind the first Left 4 Dead title from 2007. Turtle Rock split from Valve in 2011.
Turtle Rock announced that the full release of Back 4 Blood will occur on 12 October 2021.
In the same tweet, they also announced a timeframe for when the open beta will come out: sometime in the Northern hemisphere's summer (June–September 2021).
All players will be able to participate in this beta to try out the game, and gather feedback to give to Turtle Rock.
The game was first announced at The Game Awards 2020, with the closed alpha being released last year on 17 December 2020, available to select users.
