Mojang's upcoming Minecraft spinoff Minecraft Dungeons, which was originally set to release later this month, has been delayed.
Today Mojang announced that Minecraft Dungeons will now be releasing until 26 May due to the impact of coronavirus on the developers.
The closed beta for the game started a week ago, with a certain few who signed up for the beta previously being given access.
Minecraft Dungeons was originally scheduled to exit its beta in late April. However, due to the current state of the world, this was no longer possible,
says Mojang, as we wanted to guarantee the health and safety of our teams
.
On release, the standard, base edition of the game will cost US$20, and the Hero Edition will cost US$30, which includes two DLC packs and some cosmetics.
The game is also now available for pre-order on PC for those subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass, and may be able to be pre-ordered soon on other platforms.
Minecraft Dungeons is a brand new, standalone game set within the Minecraft universe,
says Mojang, and is an action-adventure dungeon crawler featuring many mobs and blocks from Minecraft as well as a set of new ones.
