To help educators produce material for digital lessons, Mojang has released a set of educational Minecraft worlds for players to download for free.

Due to the spread of coronavirus around the world, hundreds of millions of students are now taking online lessons. Mojang has decided to help teachers create material for their digital classes by releasing a set of ten downloadable worlds created by the Minecraft community.

These worlds are now available to be downloaded for free, and will remain so until the end of June.

The worlds include lesson plans like creative writing activities, build challenges, and tricky puzzles, says Mojang. Two examples given by Moajng of the types of maps available are a build of the International Space Station and a reconstruction of a human eye.

These maps are available for devices running on the Bedrock editions of the game, including phones, consoles and Windows 10 (but excluding the Java Edition).
